Source of Hope Foundation Founder Stephen K. Robert

A financier based in New York City, Stephen K. Robert spent three decades at Oppenheimer & Co., advancing from the role of junior portfolio manager to the position of chief executive officer. He was the company’s largest stockholder at the time of his retirement. Since transitioning away from the financial industry, Stephen K. Robert has focused on his board work and philanthropic activities, particularly his leadership role at the Source of Hope Foundation.

Stephen Robert established the Source of Hope Foundation alongside his wife to provide sustainable aid to some of the world’s most impoverished areas. He has overseen the provision of food, water, education, medical care, and much-needed funds. The organization has also funded special projects and facilities, such as the Stephen Robert and Pilar Crespi Robert Rapid Medical Evaluation Center at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, which primarily serves low-income patients.

Academically, Stephen Robert studied political science at Brown University. He is also a graduate of the London School of Economics and Columbia University’s School of Business.
